The ISPPD Biennial Meeting is the premier global scientific event devoted to the exchange, advancement, and dissemination of the latest discoveries in basic science, microbiology, epidemiology, treatment, and prevention of pneumonia and pneumococcal diseases.

ISPPD provides an unparalleled international forum that brings together scientific, clinical, and public health experts, practitioners, and students to present, discuss, challenge, and learn from the latest work and advancements in the field.

In 2023, ISPPD officially changed its status to a society and, following the COVID-19 pandemic, expanded and evolved its Meeting to include other causes of pneumonia. With a new, ever-growing Membership base and a wider scientific scope, ISPPD is attracting more and more international experts, providing new perspectives and novel approaches, with the goal that this upward trend will continue in the coming years.

That is why we would love to hear from you! If you are interested in hosting ISPPD-15 (2028), please download the following guidelines and submit your bid for review.

Please submit a letter of intent to the ISPPD Administrative Office by 31 January 2024 and send the completed bid document to the ISPPD Administrative Office by 28 February 2024:
