Given the continued uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on international travel restrictions and physical distancing requirements, we have been increasingly concerned about the ability to plan and hold an in-person meeting in Toronto in 2021.
We have therefore decided to postpone the ISPPD-12 Symposium until 19-23 June 2022.
Read the full announcement here.
We are currently workong on new key dates, information will be updated here soon.
The official language of the Symposium is English.
Most people need a visa OR an Electronic Travel Authorisation to travel to Canada – not both. Some people may only need their valid passport. Further information is published here.
It is the responsibility of ISPPD-12 participants to obtain a visa if required. Symposium participants should familiarise themselves with visa requirements well in advance of the event. The ISPPD-12 organisers encourage you to apply for a visa as early as possible, at least 3 to 4 months before the Symposium.
Complete information whether you need a visa and how to apply for a visa to enter Canada can be found on Government of Canada’s website.
Letter of Invitation
An official personalised letter of invitation will be provided to registered participants as part of the registration procedure. This invitation is prepared solely for the purpose of visa applications and is not a commitment on the part of the organisers to provide any financial support or confirmation of inclusion in the Scientific Programme.
Invitation letters can be provided electronically (PDF) or as a hard copy if required. Hard copies will be mailed via regular post free of charge (in this case organisers do not take responsibility for delivery). In case of special delivery (courier) request, the participant will be responsible for all charges.
End of June is a nice time to visit Toronto and enjoy city’s vibrant life. The average high temperature for the month of June is 24°C (75°F) and the average low temperature is 12°C (53°F). In the evenings it may be chilly, so prepare a cardigan or a jacket to take with you.
Participants are advised to wear business casual for all Symposium functions and programs.
Guest Attendance Policy
All event activities (including educational sessions, meal functions, exhibit hall, etc.) are exclusively reserved for registered attendees. Non-registered guests (including children, family members, colleagues, etc.) are not allowed in any of the event areas. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.
Liability & Insurance
Please do not leave bags or suitcases unattended at any time, whether inside or outside the session halls. Hotels strongly recommend that you use their safety deposit boxes for your valuables.
The Symposium Secretariat and Organisers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.
